China is also a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, granting it significant leverage in international decisions. Despite its strength, China faces major challenges. The United States views China as a strategic threat and is attempting to contain it militarily and economically. Trade tensions between the two countries impact the global economy. Additionally, internal issues such as human rights and environmental concerns may affect its global image. China also faces demographic challenges with an increasing elderly population.
